Hello, again!
The Summer semester has begun. Film Society is a bit disjointed at the moment. With so many of our officers enjoying the long awaited Summer break, our audio recordings will be delayed till the Fall. In the interim we have many more films to discuss!
The first being Kill Your Darlings - directed by John Krokidas (2013). A brief synopsis: in 1944 New York, New York, the then college age poets of the century Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, and elder Jack Kerouac are wrapped up in a murder committed by their friend Lucien Carr. The story is told through the eyes of a Freshman Allen Ginsberg, who had recently been admitted to Columbia University. Through a trial to break the status quo of writing's strict structure, the students commit to an alliance of academic disloyalty.
